Welcome to 7th grade Language Arts!!

I am very excited to start a new year!  This is my 25th year of teaching--my 23rd at Jackson Memorial Middle School.  I graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in English (GO BUCKS) and from there graduated from Ohio University with a Masters in Teaching.  I taught middle and high school at Mogadore for two years before coming to Jackson.

I met my husband while at OSU, and we now live in North Canton with our two children.  I have a son who is a freshman in college, and a daughter who is a junior at Central Catholic.    

We have two dogs--a toy poodle, Brutus, who weighs a whooping 6.5 lbs.  He thinks he's fierce, though, and has been known to nip knees.  Our other dog, CoCo, is a rescue from the Humane Society,and she is the sweetest dog ever. Good thing, too, because she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, if you know what I mean!

Besides being an avid reader, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working out, cooking, and baking.  

My goal is for all of my students to become better readers and writers! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me!
