"I love to hear a choir. I love the humanity... to see the faces of real people devoting themselves to a piece of music. I like the teamwork. It makes me feel optimistic about the human race when I see them cooperating like that." - Paul McCartney

ABOUT ME:
I teach the 6th, 7th and 8th grade choirs and 6th grade general music at JMMS, and the Freshman Chorus at JHS. In addition, I direct the JMMS Chamber Ensemble and the JMMS musical after school. I am a proud Jackson grad, and I earned my undergraduate degree in music education from Ohio University. I also hold a masters degree in music education from the University of Akron, where I completed extensive coursework on the middle school voice. My husband is a guitarist and professor at Kent State University (Stark campus), and gigs all over northeast Ohio. We have two children: a 19-year-old daughter and a 15-year-old son.
