All About Mrs. Shaffer
I was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio. I went to St. Barbara School K-8, then graduated high school from Washington High (Massillon) in 2003. I graduated from Kent State University in 2007 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2011, I graduated from Ashland University with my Master's Degree in Education. It's hard to believe that this will be my 15th year teaching first grade at Sauder. The years have flown by! Each year has brought new lessons, experiences, and challenges, and it has been amazing to watch each child learn and grow so much in the short time we are together.
I love my school family, but nothing compares to my family at home! My husband Mike and I have been married for 10 years. Our daughter Emma is in 3rd grade and our son Micah is in 1st grade at Sauder this year. Together, we love to play card games, watch movies, and play outside together. We also love road trips - we have driven to Disney 4 times in the last 2 years. It truly is a magical place!
